Sculpture & Oil Painting

Patricia Dunbar 

Originally a California Native, Patricia moved to New Mexico and fell under the influence of New Mexico's enchanted landscape and inspired artists. In the solitude and light of Lincoln, New Mexico, she discovered her own vast talent and never ending passion for sculpture and oil painting.

She researches each sculpture, meticulously scouring history books, to ensure authenticity in clothing and other details. 

Faces and hands are worked from polymer clay. She compares many historical photos for each sculpture in order to work the face with as much realism as possible.

All clothing is hand stitched by her, dyed and painted to bring realism to the work.     

Patricia's passion for realism and detail extend to her fine art oil paintings.

When not painting or sculpting, Patricia enjoys traveling and horse back riding.
